The result reinforces the strategy of combining business generation, close customer relationships, and the development of public transportation solutions
Marcopolo concluded its participation in Lat.Bus 2026, the largest bus trade show in the Americas, held from August 11 to 13 at São Paulo Expo, with more than 300 buses sold, including intercity, urban, and minibus models, and more than 600 business opportunities generated with customers from Brazil and abroad. During the fair, the company combined business generation, the presentation of new products, and discussions on topics that directly affect the competitiveness and evolution of public transportation, reinforcing its role as a provider of mobility solutions.
The event brought together nearly 200 exhibitors and more than 30 thousand visitors representing over 40 nationalities, as well as manufacturers, operators, suppliers, financial institutions, industry associations, and public officials, in a program focused on innovation, business generation, and discussions about mobility challenges. Considered the largest fair in the Americas and the second largest in the world dedicated to bus transportation, Lat.Bus reinforced its role as an important platform for relationship-building, business generation, and industry discussions.
In addition to its commercial activities, Marcopolo promoted a content program focused on issues that influence investment capacity and the modernization of public transportation. The program brought together business leaders, operators, public officials, experts, and industry representatives to discuss topics such as financing, tax reform, sustainability, the regulatory environment, fleet renewal, and the energy transition.
“Lat.Bus is an important opportunity to connect with customers, understand the market’s challenges, and discuss ways to overcome them. Our role goes beyond vehicle development. We seek to contribute solutions that support fleet renewal, operational efficiency, sustainability, and operators’ competitiveness,” says André Armaganijan, CEO of Marcopolo.
Business generation and proximity to the market
Participation in Lat.Bus 2026 provided Marcopolo with an important platform for strengthening customer relationships and generating business opportunities. The company presented solutions for the urban, intercity, and minibus segments, including the launch of the Torino 2027 for urban transportation, the evolution of Generation 8 with the G8 TEC for the intercity segment, and the start of sales of the Volare Attack 10 Hybrid, expanding the range of alternatives focused on operational efficiency, connectivity, safety, and the energy transition.
“We concluded the fair with more than 100 units of the Torino 2027 sold, with deliveries scheduled for later this year. We also closed deals involving more than 200 intercity coaches and minibuses for customers in Brazil and abroad,” says Ricardo Portolan, Marcopolo’s Commercial and Marketing Director.
The positive reception of the Torino 2027 was one of the highlights of the company’s participation. Officially unveiled during Lat.Bus, the model attracted the interest of operators seeking to reduce operating costs and increase fleet availability through solutions focused on maintenance, electronic diagnostics, climate control, and ergonomics. The first deliveries are scheduled for this year.
Ready-to-Deliver program increases agility for operators
One of the highlights of the company’s participation was the Ready-to-Deliver Program, developed to increase vehicle availability in the market and reduce the time between the purchasing decision and the start of operations.
During the fair, the initiative resulted in the sale of more than 30 units, including all the vehicles displayed in the area dedicated to the program, reinforcing demand for solutions that combine agility, availability, and predictability for operators.
“The Ready-to-Deliver Program is an important alternative for customers that need to expand or renew their operations quickly. In addition to reducing the time between purchase and the start of operations, the program enables the vehicle to begin generating revenue sooner, an increasingly important factor in a scenario of higher financing costs,” says Portolan.
Mobility beyond vehicles
In addition to its commercial results, Marcopolo’s participation in Lat.Bus reinforced the company’s position as an active participant in discussions about the future of public transportation. Throughout the event, the company’s stand hosted panels and meetings that promoted the exchange of experiences among operators, experts, industry representatives, financial institutions, and public authorities.
The discussions addressed topics related to the sector’s competitiveness and the evolution of mobility, reinforcing the view that the challenges facing public transportation require integrated, collaboratively developed solutions.
The results achieved during the fair reflect a combination of close customer relationships, the development of solutions aligned with market demands, and the creation of initiatives that contribute to the advancement of passenger transportation. More than simply presenting vehicles, Marcopolo used Lat.Bus 2026 to connect products, knowledge, relationships, and industry discussions, reinforcing its role as a partner to operators and a provider of solutions for the current and future challenges of mobility.
Lat.Bus 2026 Sets Record for Exhibitors and Visitors
Lat.Bus 2026, the largest bus trade show in the Americas, set a record for both exhibitors and visitors. Over the course of the three-day event—its fourth edition, held in São Paulo from August 11 to 13—there were 31,368 attendees (10,000 more than in the 2024 edition) and representatives from 6,000 companies.
Of that total, 729 were international visitors from 40 countries—compared to 22 countries in 2024. "These figures demonstrate the strength of Lat.Bus and confirm its status as the second-largest bus trade show in the world. We are proud to have built this in such a short time," says Marcelo Fontana, director of OTM Editora, the event's organizer in Brazil. "They also highlight the importance of the bus sector and the wisdom of bringing together all product and service segments into a single hub."
